Groups That Inspire Change

There are plenty of groups and individuals in our world, who are striving to do right or set something straight, which follows their gifts or heart's calling. Many of their work goes unnoticed as they are not main-stream nor of high profile. In this section of Fair Living, we would like to profile some of them, so you can increase your world view and know what is going on.

The following list does not imply a full endorsement by Tribes and Nations, nor claim that we know and agree with every aspect of what they say and do, but we do know, they make us think and we hope it might be the same for you, there-by we all learn from the world community.

A Rocha is about Christians in Conservation, who draw on insights and skills of diverse cultures, locally and worldwide to teach conservation. It is an exciting and stimulating  forum even for non greenies.  click here, it is worth knowing more.

The Simplicity Collective is founded upon the idea that a 'simpler life' of reduced resource and energy consumption, is a viable and a desirable alternative to our current consumer culture. An good read and food for thought...  click here

Micah Challenge is a global campaign of Christians speaking out against poverty and injustice. Their three key campaigns for 2013 are

• Finish the Race…to halve poverty by 2015
• Shine the Light… on tax evasion and corruption
• Hope for Creation….change the conversation on climate change

They encourage us all to be part of their global movement, that calls governments to remember the poor in their budgets and trade.
